A small team of parents building something we wished existed when our kids were born.
Kidichi Mama came together around a kitchen table in early 2021. Three friends, all navigating the first year of parenthood, sharing notes on what products were actually worth buying and what was just clever marketing aimed at sleep-deprived parents.
Those kitchen-table conversations turned into shared spreadsheets, then a blog, and eventually a shop. The premise hasn't changed: we test things ourselves, ask other families for their honest opinions, and only stock what earns a genuine recommendation.
Babies don't need fifty toys. They need a few good ones. The same applies to every product category: choose well, buy less, and actually use what you have.
Parenting is messy and exhausting and wonderful. We don't pretend otherwise. Our content reflects real life, not a curated highlight reel.
Every product we stock meets or exceeds UK and EU safety standards. We favour natural materials and minimal packaging wherever possible.
Nothing goes into the shop without being used by at least three families for a minimum of two weeks. We check safety certifications, research the manufacturer, read independent lab reports where available, and ask for feedback on durability, practicality, and whether it actually makes life easier.
If a product doesn't earn positive feedback from at least two thirds of our test families, it doesn't get stocked. Simple as that.
